In the battlemaps thread Treebore mentioned a guy who printed laminated maps for gamers. I placed an order with Gamer Printshop for a set of laminated prints of rune cards for Crimson Empire. I got them in the mail today and wow.
This dude is fast and the quality is pretty damn sweet. So now I have a cool deck to go along with my new cool game. Sweet.
I think I'm going to dig up some maps for this guy to print up now. The work is worth it. |
Thats my opinion, and why I recommend him. His price may seem high, but its worth it when you get the end result in your hands. |

| Forgot to say in the previous post. I hope you give a summation/highlights of the setting. Thats what is intriguing me. |

I am currently offering a Bulk Lamination Deal, send me 20 each 17 x 22 maps, posters, whatever, and I'll laminate them for $44.00 plus shipping, that's $2.20 per map to laminate.
Its true that my website might show higher prices up front, but this is for "onesy-twosey" prices. I offer volume discounts on everything I do - lamination, full color printing, B/W printing, etc.
So Treebore, you shouldn't have to hold off on those big lamination projects. Just visit the site, fill out the form and ask for a quote. I'll give you a great price!

Anyone else ever pick this game up?
I've recently been going through my collection of RPG's trying to decide which ones I will move from "Cool But Never Played" status to "Played" status. So I'm looking at doing a number of 1 shots with my group from time to time.
This is definitely on the top of my list of games I own that I want to give a try. I've been reading through the book again for the past few days and have to say that this seems like it will be pure awesome. |

So I guess thats a no then.
I still recommend folks get their hands on this game if they can find it.
The setting is kind of dark fantasy. The old Empire crumbled, its remnants now divided into two nations that are pretty much at war with eachother. Its a deadly world with crazed cultists, political tension, opportunity for espionage or seeking out ancient ruins.
Has a real unique goth look, with spooky angsty character art and different looking weapons. There is a Points of Renown system in which characters gain renown and grow in status among their factions. The crazy cultists type characters (if played) are expected to live short violent lives and die taking out as many imperials as they can. Doing so raises their Personal Renown, and the next character you make can benefit from the one who died bloodily and with glory if you work a good background in with him connecting him to the previous character.
Pretty neat stuff.
I just wish the forums for this game were more active. Looks like spambots do the most posting there. But at least they are polite spam bots who keep their advertisements in the same forum. |

It sounds interesting enough. I may see if I can get hold of this in the future. _________________ The Lord of Ravens

I ordered the book for the Knight caste, I'm hoping to get it in the next day or two. Looks promising.
Hoping to maybe shut down my Tuesday night BECM game this week and give this a whirl instead that session. I would try with my C&C Pathfinder group, but we missed last week so I'm definitely not side treking with them this week.
I just hope the combat system isn't too clunky. It has hit locations, armor works in a pretty unique way, and degrades over use as well.
The world is pretty sweet and a big draw for me. Even if I decide the rules are too clunky I think I'll try a BECM or C&C game there some time.
If I run a game of it tomorrow I'll post how the system works in action. |

Speaking of which, has Gamer-Printshop fallen completely off the grid? I see the website. It's contact page doesn't work anymore and I can't get any response from the few e-mail addresses I have for these guys?
Gamer-Printshop... WHERE ARE YOU?!

I am currently receiving orders still - got one today, so I'm pretty sure my Email still works. Are you using my support@gamer-printshop.com address?
I've got E.N. Publishing War of the Burning Sky campaign maps on my Ecommerce site. I'm adding Gamemaster Apprentice membership maps soon, as well as Terrain Monkey - hand drawn maps.
Just got contacted by a very big RPG company, owned by a Toy company, with some product originally produced by George Lucas (if you know who I mean) about possibly becoming their exclusive printer/distributor. Nothing for sure yet, but big things could be happening.
No, I am still on the grid!!!
Besides, didn't you get the Hex maps I sent? |

| Good to know you're still around. I might have another order. Just trying to get confirmation about the use of a companies product for this. |

I did finally receive the gigantic hex maps (63 square feet of them all~!!!). Matter of fact I used them last night during a marathon Battletech game.
Sweet jeebus they rocked.
As for your contact page, whenever I sent a request, I get this message:
Parse error: parse error, unexpected '$' in /home/content/g/a/m/gamerprinter/html/quote.php on line 7
I have used your contact page from no less then 3 different IP adresses, and gotten the same response for the past 40 or so days. Just a heads up.

Fixed it. There was an erroneous $ sign in the wrong place. Try it now!
Jeez, 40 days - I hope I didn't lose too many sales (yikes!)
I'm glad the maps worked out for you. |
